Fort Wayne International Welcome Day is a citywide community celebration designed to welcome immigrants from all nations, connect them with trusted local resources, and honor the cultural diversity that strengthens our city.
This special gathering brings local families, international students, community organizations, service providers, universities, and local partners in a warm, inclusive, and non-political environment.
Everyone is welcome — regardless of faith, background, or immigration status.

Guest Speaker: Zach Szmara
Zach Szmara is the Founder and Executive Director of Immigrant Connection, a national organization dedicated to expanding access to trusted immigration legal services and immigrant support programs across the United States. Since founding the organization in 2014, he has worked alongside immigrant families, local churches, and community leaders to develop practical, community-based solutions that increase access to quality legal services and strengthen local communities. Today, Immigrant Connection supports local sites in more than 35 states and has served over 65,000 immigrant families. A frequent speaker on immigration, Zach is recognized for bringing together church, nonprofit, business, and community leaders to create pathways of opportunity, belonging, and support for immigrant families.
